Washington, DC - NRDC Action Votes today announced a new $250,000 radio ad campaign to support Congressman Don Davis (NC-01) in his re-election campaign that underscores his deep commitment to Eastern North Carolina and his strong record of investing in the community, fighting to create good jobs, and protecting natural resources. NRDC Action Votes will be running multiple radio ads that draw a compelling contrast between how Davis has a proven track record fighting for families and farmers and how his opponent is looking out for her political career at the expense of everyone else.
“Sadly, it’s times like now that remind us how important it is to have a tireless champion like Don Davis fighting for North Carolina coastal families and not someone out for themselves who does not know the district,” said NRDC Action Votes Deputy Director Jon Colmenares. “Laurie Buckhout is out of touch with Eastern North Carolina and puts own ambition ahead above others. Why else would she support raising the price of insulin or oppose laws that protect clean air and water? Eastern North Carolina families need someone they can trust will go to work for them, and it’s not Buckhout.”
NRDC Action Votes also supported Davis in 2022 with radio ads that emphasized the challenges North Carolina coastal residents face regarding hurricane-related flooding and outlined how Davis has worked tirelessly to protect the district and get families and small businesses the resources they need in times of crisis.
