NRDC Action Votes Launches Ad Highlighting Corrupt Ken Calvert’s Ties to Big Oil that Come at California Taxpayers’ Expense

October 24, 2024 – NRDC Action Votes today launched a new ad criticizing one of the most corrupt members of Congress, Ken Calvert (CA-41), for prioritizing himself and his campaign donors from Big Oil ahead of California families. The ad points out that Corrupt Ken has personally enriched himself to the tune of $20 million during his time in office, while supporting a special interest agenda that makes life harder for Californians.

“Corrupt Ken Calvert has consistently looked out for himself and his Big Oil donors at the expense of hardworking California families, and we can’t afford to be gouged by his special interest agenda any longer,” said Jon Colmenares, Deputy Director of NRDC Action Votes. “While Corrupt Ken is cashing checks from Big Oil backers, Californians are feeling the pain at the pump and the damaging impacts from climate change. The bottom line is that Corrupt Ken uses his office to benefit himself, and Californians pay the price.”
