NRDC Action Votes Congratulates DeFazio on Re-Election

NRDC Action Votes congratulates Rep. Peter DeFazio, one of the top environmental champions in Congress, on his re-election victory in Oregon.

In the last week of the campaign, NRDC Action Votes launched a $200,000 television and digital outside spending campaign to highlight DeFazio’s bipartisan efforts to help Oregon recover from this year’s devastating wildfires.

“Peter DeFazio has a long-record of protecting clean air and water and addressing climate change. The voters of his district recognized the importance of those issues in supporting his re-election,” said Jossie Steinberg, director of NRDC Action Votes. “We look forward to working with Chairman DeFazio on addressing these foundational issues in the weeks, months and years to come.”

NRDC Action Votes, which launched just this year, is an independent political action committee that works to promote the goals of the NRDC Action Fund, including working for protection of wild lands, healthy air and water, and addressing climate change.

This year’s election results have proven that protecting the environment and addressing climate change are electoral winners.
